Montenegro had a confidence-boosting win in the buildup to the U16 European Championship they will host next month. Djordjije Pavicevic's team, led by captain Nikola Ivanovic, defeated a touring side from Switzerland in Bar, 64-61. Montenegro have since travelled to Croatia for a mini tournament and lost in a battle of under-16 teams to France, 75-69. They will also play Croatia and Russia there before traveling to Slovenia to continue their preparations for the U16 European Championship. Meanwhile, three other under-16 teams will be in action this week in Athens. Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece will trade blows. |
